IMORU VIII 2019

IMORU VIII 2019

It is our pleasure to announce the 8th IMORU, International Meeting on Reconstructive Urology, taking place from 11-13th March 2019.

Dear Colleagues,

I am glad to invite you to Hamburg for the 8th IMORU; that, following our triennial tradition, will take place March 11-13th, 2019 at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.

Urethral reconstruction remains one of the most important topics in the field of reconstructive urology. Parallel live-surgeries from two operating rooms and semi-live presentations provide the opportunity to observe the experts and discuss their techniques. In addition, we will have live transmissions from different centers in the US and Europe. During poster sessions, you will be able to present and discuss your own experiences.

A faculty of world renowned surgeons will share their expertise during reconstruction of penile, bulbar & posterior strictures and hypospadias repair in children and adults. Another main topic is the reconstruction of the external male genitalia; where corporoplasty in patients with Peyronie`s disease and implantations of penile prostheses will be presented. Solving complications after prostate surgery: such as incontinence, urethra-rectal fistula or anastomotic stricture after radical prostatectomy is another field of reconstructive urology. Procedures to manage these complications, e.g. artificial urinary sphincter implantation, will also be presented.

Minimal invasive surgery is entering the field of reconstructive urology more than ever. Famous centers for robot-assisted reconstructive surgery will directly transmit into the lecture hall and show their techniques for ureteral reimplantation, pyeloplasty and reconstruction of the urethra.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Hamburg, March 11-13th, 2019!
